AM I ELIGIBLE?
Anyone is eligible to order meals from Wollongong Meals on Wheels. We provide a meal delivery for anyone looking for a healthy, delicious, cost-effective meal service.
Additionally, Wollongong Meals on Wheels also provides meal delivery and social support services specifically for Wollongong seniors, younger people with a disability and their carers who are eligible for a Government funded service. To be eligible for these services, you must reside in the Wollongong area and meet at least
one of the following criteria:
- Aged 65 years or over
- Aged 50 years or over and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- Have a registered disability
- Primary carer of someone with a registered disability
HOW DO I REGISTER?
If you are 65 years or over (or 50 years or over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders), we require a referral from the government organisation, My Aged Care. To be referred to Wollongong Meals on Wheels, please call My Aged Care on
1800 200 422 or visit the My Aged Care website by
clicking here. Alternatively, you can complete the form below or contact our friendly staff on (02) 4226 5869, and we can simply arrange the referral on your behalf. The process typically takes up to 48 hours, however, we can commence our service to you in the meantime if needed.
If you are under the age of 65 (or under 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) and living with – or caring for someone with – a registered disability, we generally require a referral from the NDIS. To be referred to Wollongong Meals on Wheels, please contact the NDIS on
